About Us

Welcome to Perth's favourite CREATIVE dance program.

A student-centred program designed especially for students to unleash their creativity.

In 2018, our director Meagan Baronas decided to leave her dance specialist teaching role to focus on creating a dance program that Perth had never seen before.

Intricately linked with the performing arts curriculum, health and physical education, digital technology and STEAM outcomes, Make A Move is catered to primary schools who pride themselves on offering creative arts opportunities for their students.

Qualifications

Meagan holds a Bachelor of Education for Kindergarten to Yr 7 (ECU, Western Australia), a Cert IV in Performing Arts (Brent Street, Sydney), and also a Diploma in Dance Teaching with the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (Comdance, Australia).

Experience

For Meagan, dance has been her passion and life for over 29 years. She has over 10 years experience working as a professional dancer, both interstate and overseas.

From 2013, Meagan spent four years dancing internationally in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and throughout the Caribbean.  After returning to Perth and working as a dance specialist teacher at Majella Catholic Primary School, she combined her international dance experience with her love of teaching children, to create the Make A Move Performance Program.  Meagan has also worked at many primary schools in Perth throughout her years as a teacher.
