Make A Move is an exciting new one-of-a-kind dance program that focusses on empowering students with the skills to create their own unique dance showcase.
In 2018, director Meagan Baronas decided to leave her dance specialist teaching role to focus on creating a dance program that Perth had never seen before. Intricately linked with the Arts curriculum, technology and STEAM outcomes, Make A Move is catered to primary schools who pride themselves on offering creative arts opportunities for their students.
For Meagan, dance has been her passion and life for over 27 years. She has 10 years experience working as a professional dancer, both interstate and overseas.
Meagan holds a Bachelor of Education for Kindergarten to Yr 7 (ECU, Western Australia), a Cert IV in Performing Arts (Brent Street, Sydney), and also a Diploma in Dance Teaching with the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (Comdance, Western Australia).
From 2013, Meagan spent four years dancing internationally in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and throughout the Caribbean. After returning to Perth and working as a dance specialist teacher at Majella Catholic Primary School, she combined her international dance experience with her love of teaching children, to create the Make A Move Performance Program – the perfect dance program to get your students’ creative juices flowing.
